The Client
Hello Coach brings together some of the smartest personal and professional coaching minds in the world and makes them available to everyone. Experience on-demand access to affordable, qualified, vetted coaches for one-to-one online coaching and support.
Engagement
We’ve been working with Hello Coach for a few months to create their MVP application.
Our team has been tasked to design their digital product from the grounds up, from the initial user journeys and flows to the design of the app. Through constant check-ins with their team we’ve been gathering requirements and feedback, coming up with ideas and designing solutions. We also took care of shaping their brand identity starting from strategy and positioning to designing their logo, colour scheme, typography, custom illustrations and more.

Finding Balance

A good life is all about balance and wholeness.
The mission of the brand is to help eveyone feel better through coaching, perfectly matching the best coaches and the coachees and guide them on a journey where everyone can become the best version of themselves.

User Flows

We started off by creating the information architecture and the user flows, to allow the users to easily and quickly find what they are looking for.

Colours

With the main colour we wanted to convey the energetic, approachable yet trustworthy nature of the brand.
Then we expanded the colour scheme to colour code each one of the coaching areas, creating a cohesive visual design language across the whole experience.

Typography

A mix of a rounded, reassuring and friendly serif paired with a modern and rounded sans-serif. This choice was key to make the people using the app feel reassured and relaxed when going through a moment of emotional distress.

Visual Identity

We created a new visual identity to reflect the friendly and approchable personality of the brand.
The logo, just like the brand name “Hello Coach”, conveys the idea of creating a personal connection, even though all the interactions between coaches and coachees are not in person, but online.
Every element reflects this idea: the curves of the logomark and of “H” in the logotype are like a hug, and so are all the lines and shapes, hugging, connecting ang guiding the users on their journey to a better self.

Find Balance

How do we find balance? The concept behind the brand and the app is that we might be experiencing some unbalance in our lives, represented by an uneven shape. The goal, over time and with the help of the coaches, is to improve each one of the life areas, creating an harmonious and balanced shape.

Discovery

The homepage is designed to promote user interaction with the coaches, get to know them and start a conversation. Users have different ways to find what they are looking for so we created multiple ways to search, filter and browse by coaches and areas, to include everyone’s style.

Find your Coach

It was very important to help all users find the right help. Some people are decisive, while other might need a little nudge in the right direction. This step by step process is designed to ask users all the right questions to then suggest them the coaches that better suit their needs.

Our matching algoritm is designed to always assign the perfect coach to the users. Finding the right person to guide users throught this self-improvement journey is the pillar of the entire experience.

iOS & Web

By looking at the research and the data, the primary usage of the app has been identified as native mobile for iOS but we also wanted to extend the experience to web (especially for corporate customers that want to provide coaching in the workplace)
